Youngstown was a high-energy trio that emerged during the peak of the boyband explosion in the late 1990s. Named after their home city in Ohio, the group consisted of Samuel Lopez, James "DC" Crosby, and Dallas Rogers. Unlike many of their contemporaries who leaned purely into bubblegum pop, Youngstown carved out a niche by blending street-ready R&B harmonies with the massive reach of Hollywood Records and the Disney ecosystem.

The group’s big break came in 1999 when they were chosen to perform the lead single for the Inspector Gadget live-action movie. The track, "I'll Be Your Everything," became an instant staple on Radio Disney and propelled their debut album, Let's Roll, into the homes of millions of fans. Their sound was characterized by slick production and synchronized choreography that made them a favorite for Disney Channel specials and concert tours.

In 2001, Youngstown returned with a more mature sound for their second studio album, Down for the Get Down. They continued to dominate the soundtrack world, contributing the track "Jiggy with the Piggy" to The Tigger Movie and maintaining a strong presence in the teen pop world.
