The Story of 3T

3T is an American pop and R&B group formed by brothers Taj Jackson, Taryll Jackson, and Tito Joe “TJ” Jackson. The trio are sons of Tito Jackson, a member of the legendary Motown group The Jackson 5, making them nephews of global superstar Michael Jackson and part of one of the most famous musical families in history.

Growing up in Los Angeles surrounded by music, the three brothers developed their musical talents at an early age. Inspired by their family's legacy but determined to build their own identity, they began writing and recording songs together as teenagers. Their uncle Michael Jackson recognized their potential and helped them secure a recording contract with his label, MJJ Music, which was distributed by Epic Records.

In 1995, 3T released their debut album Brotherhood, which became a major international success. Although the group achieved modest recognition in the United States, they became hugely popular across Europe and Asia. The album featured several hit singles, including “Anything,” “24/7,” “Tease Me,” and “I Need You.” The latter song featured backing vocals by Michael Jackson and became one of the group's most memorable tracks.

Their debut album sold millions of copies worldwide and established 3T as one of the most successful pop groups of the mid-1990s. With smooth vocal harmonies, romantic lyrics and polished pop production, the trio appealed especially to teenage audiences during the golden era of boybands.

Success in Europe and International Tours

During the second half of the 1990s, 3T toured extensively across Europe where they had a devoted fan base. Countries such as France, the Netherlands, Belgium and the United Kingdom embraced the group, and their singles regularly appeared in European charts and music television programs.

Despite the strong start of their career, the group faced challenges toward the end of the decade due to changes in the music industry and personal circumstances. After the death of their mother Delores “Dee Dee” Jackson in 1994, the brothers remained very close and often spoke publicly about how family support helped them continue their career.

Although their mainstream commercial momentum slowed in the early 2000s, the trio continued to release music independently and perform live shows, keeping their loyal international fan base engaged.

The Big Reunion and the Return of 3T

In 2013, 3T returned to television when they participated in the British reality series The Big Reunion. The show reunited several popular pop groups from the 1990s and early 2000s, bringing them back together for a concert tour across the United Kingdom.

The appearance introduced 3T to a new generation of fans while reconnecting them with audiences who had grown up listening to their music. Their participation in the show highlighted the group's enduring chemistry and the strong bond between the three brothers.

Following the success of the program, 3T continued touring in Europe and released new material, including the album Identity and the holiday album Endless Christmas. The group has remained active with live performances, special events, and projects celebrating the legacy of the Jackson family.

Today, 3T are remembered as one of the most successful pop acts to emerge from the extended Jackson musical dynasty, combining their famous family heritage with their own distinctive style and memorable 90s hits.
