The Story of V Factory
V Factory is an American pop and urban group from Los Angeles, California formed in 2008. The group consists of Asher Book, Jared Murillo, Wesley Quinn, Nathaniel Flatt, and Nick Teti. They were assembled by Warner Bros. Records with the intent of creating a quintet that could not only sing R&B-infused pop but also deliver world-class dance choreography, drawing from the members' extensive backgrounds in professional dance and musical theatre.
Their breakthrough came with the infectious single "Love Struck", released in early 2009. The track, produced by Twin City, became a viral sensation and a radio staple, helping establish them as one of the most promising boybands of the pre-streaming era. The song notably reached the Top 40 on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 chart and garnered millions of views on YouTube, fueled by the group's highly energetic live performances.
Over the years the group released notable tracks including "Get It Off" and "Beautiful Girl." Their music resonated with audiences through a mix of synth-pop beats and polished vocal harmonies. They toured extensively across the United States, performing at major festivals and opening for acts like Kelly Clarkson and MC Hammer, while lead singer Asher Book gained additional fame starring in the 2009 remake of Fame.
Through a high-profile presence on Disney Channel and various teen music platforms, V Factory became a defining act within the modern pop movement. Although the group disbanded in 2010 before their full-length studio album was officially released, their single "Love Struck" remains a cult classic among boyband enthusiasts, and the members have since continued successful careers in acting, dance, and choreography in Hollywood.
